Izzy’s on the Peninsula is reopening with a brand new look and new menu choices

It is an outdated Bay Space restaurant with a brand new look, new menu, and new identify.

Izzy’s, the favored restaurant in San Carlos, has formally reopened as “Izzy’s on the Peninsula” after a significant renovation by the house owners, DuVall Household Restaurant Group, with designers from Gachot Studios.

The group, which has a main location in San Francisco’s Marina District, was based in 1987 by famed Bay Space restaurateur Sam Duvall. Each eating places have been named after saloon keeper Isadore “Simple” Gomez, a colourful character on San Francisco’s Barbary Coast within the early many years of that century. The second technology now runs Izzy’s.

And in San Carlos, the transformation provides a light-weight, ethereal and complex look to the 7,500-square-foot restaurant. Seating for 245 friends has been created, with new non-public eating areas, a traditional bar and lounge, a brand new backyard patio and Isadore’s Desk, a brand new semi-private house in the principle eating room.

Government Chef Vincent Castillo has added new shareable entrees, from small bites like Deviled Eggs and Crudite from the Backyard with Inexperienced Goddess Dressing to Dungeness Crab Hushpuppies, Fritto Misto, and Braised Oxtail Jam with Sourdough Toast Factors.

The signature collection of steaks and chops, which incorporates sources from Creekstone Farms and Flannery Beef, options “The Gomez” prime rib with Simple Potatoes, creamed spinach, and Steak au Poivre. Basic Shrimp Scampi joins Snake River Trout and Atlantic Salmon with candy peppers and pickled fennel on the seafood menu.

New to the dessert menu are made-to-order Glazed Crullers and seasonal toasted pear bread pudding.

Now that the San Carlos renovation is full, the group is endeavor the same challenge in San Francisco. The Steiner Road restaurant is predicted to reopen someday this fall.
